The public debate surrounding the efficacy of private versus public schools tends to revolve around their success in boosting test scores, graduation rates, and college admissions. But there is more to life than educational outcomes. Schools also play an important role in shaping children’s characters and family lives.
In this web event, AEI’s W. Bradford Wilcox will be joined by the coauthors of his most recent report, as well as Andrew T. Walker of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Lindsey M. Burke of the Heritage Foundation, to discuss new evidence suggesting that private schools — especially Protestant ones — uniquely prepare students to build strong and stable families later in life. They will outline the findings in this report and discuss their implications for education policy and the school choice debate.
