This event aims to bring light to a complicated and politically charged conversation that affects all of America’s students: whether K–12 schools should reopen in person given COVID-19.
Nat Malkus will present new data on how experiences with remote learning in the spring might affect how schools reopen in the fall. He will also present new, nationally representative data on school openings this year and how schools are shifting between learning plans. Emily Oster will share her findings on confirmed and suspected coronavirus case rates and school mitigation strategies. Lastly, education experts and leaders Sarah Cohodes, Susan Enfield, and Marla Ucelli-Kashyap will join Dr. Malkus and Dr. Oster to discuss how the data can help inform decisions and the other factors schools must consider.
