Education needs strong and capable leaders. Heartland is proud to present a discussion with four of the strongest and most capable leaders in education today.
Education needs strong and capable leaders. The Heartland Institute is proud to present a discussion with four such leaders who have succeeded in transforming education across the country to be more competitive, decentralized, accountable, and accessible. These leaders believe education, first and foremost, should enrich the lives of students – not government – and parents should be able to choose the best education options for their children.
This event will take place in the Andrew Breitbart Freedom Center at Heartland and will feature these accomplished education choice defenders:
• Vicki Alger, research fellow at the Independent Institute, who will discuss her book Failure: The Federal Misedukation of America’s Children, which shows how federal government intervention has harmed the education of children across America.
• Lindsey Burke, director of the Center for Education Policy with The Heritage Foundation, who will discuss the current state of education reform coming out of Washington, DC.
• Leslie Hiner, vice president of programs at EdChoice, who will discuss what is happening in the states on education reform.
• Joy Pullmann, research fellow on education policy at The Heartland Institute, who will discuss her new book, The Education Invasion, which tackles the issue of Common Core.
This discussion will prove there is hope for future generations with women like these helping lead the way toward establishing a better quality of education for all.
