ECOT’s Turn (The Ohio Online Learning Debate)

The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT), is Ohio’s largest online charter school, or e-school. In this interview, Superintendent Rick Teeters talks with Choice Media’s Bob Bowdon about the controversies regarding the state’s effort to introduce student login time as a basis for funding.

In particular, Teeters accuses the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) of ordering retroactive rule changes, selectively applying the changes to only certain e-schools, failing to define auto-logouts and sending the ECOT review letter to the media before sending it to ECOT.
