(LA) The Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools — Apply Yourself — 2017
December 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm EST
The Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools (LAPCS) is hosting a high-intensity information Bottom Line workshop for those preparing charter school applications. We welcome and encourage participants from across the state to participate.
The LAPCS Apply Yourself Program covers the critical aspects of creating a high-quality charter application, and it is geared to supporting those interested in the charter school application process including school leaders, board members, and back office personnel.
The program is explicitly looking for community groups who have applied in the past and were not accepted but are reapplying, as well as community groups applying for the first time.
The 1-day workshop will provide the following:
- Understanding: Workshop participants will leave the program with much greater insight into the application process.
- Confidence: Armed with new information about key issues, participants will walk away better prepared to create a strong application.
- Review: The workshop will provide a thorough review of financial, legal and governance basics important in the charter process.
- Experience: Former applicants and current charter school leaders will provide critical insights to help avoid common mistakes and identify key areas important in the process
