(GA) Building Teachers’ Capacity for Success

January 19 - January 20

How can principals, instructional coaches, teacher leaders, and teachers work together to ensure that all teachers are continually increasing their effectiveness?”

The research is clear that teacher quality is the number one determinant of student success, and it is time to put forth every effort to support teacher growth. Based on the ASCD best-selling book Building Teachers’ Capacity for Success, this institute, led by authors Pete Hall (winner of the 2004 ASCD Outstanding Young Educator Award) and Alisa Simeral, will provide participants with the tools, strategies, language, and mindset to support all teachers’ growth as reflective practitioners. With content based on century-old research from John Dewey and grounded in the practical experiences of the past two decades, this collaborative two-day institute supports every role that supports teacher development.
