COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A bill giving tax breaks to South Carolina parents who send their children to private school or educate them at home is up for debate by a Senate committee.
The issue is at the top of the agenda for Tuesday afternoon's Senate Finance meeting.
The meeting comes three weeks after a Senate subcommittee voted against the bill 3-2 but decided to advance it anyway for further discussion.
