(Memphis) It’s the final week of school and some 7,000 Memphis school teachers are not only giving grades, they are also getting them.
Emails went out Monday morning on how teachers fared in statewide evaluations and if the principals recommend they keep their jobs or be let go.
“The key impetus behind this is to improve instruction, not dismiss teachers,” said Keith Williams, president of the Memphis Education Association, the union for memphis teachers.
