SALEM -- More than a thousand people gathered on the front steps of Oregon's Capitol Monday for a President's Day rally in support of the state's public schools and social service programs.
The crowd, organized by education groups and unions, finished their demonstration inside the Capitol rotunda, where they clapped and chanted: "No more cuts."
